After obtaining the link for the 20 Best Science Fiction Books of the Decade from godoffej, I decided to make a listing based on it of books that I would like to read. And include books that I've read out of this list.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: I've never actually read this book, but I loved the series from Book 3 to Book 6. I've heard that the first two books are almost identical to the films, and I found Book 7 to fall short of expectations. Still I'd like to go back at some point and read over the first two books again, just to round out the series.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel: I've heard raving reviews of this book from both mistress_kabuki and godoffej. The mix of magic and faeries just sounds like a book I'd love.

The Mount: It sounds to me like the writer is doing more here than telling the typical tale of revolutionary slave humans, and I'd be curious to see how it unfolds. Though I must admit that the cover looks like a bondage victim which would limit where I'd feel comfortable reading it lol.

Stories of Your Life and Others: A bunch of fascinating short storis about science fiction? This sounds fascinating. The commentary is practically raving about the guy's writing capabilities, so I'd love to check it out.

The Time Traveler's Wife: I've heard a bunch of good things about this book, and even gave it to someone for Christmas one year. However I've never had the chance to read it myself though I really have wanted to check it out.

Tooth and Claw: Dragons living among humans and it sounds like its showing civil dragons contrasted with horrific humans. This sounds fascinating. The satire on the time period and witty writing style should also be fun.

Free Audiobooks

So recently I listened to "A Study in Emerald" by Neil Gaiman, which was for a while free on his site. I found that I really enjoyed being able to listen to a novel like that, and I've been looking for other books that I could listen to like that (without having to break my bank account over it). Just something to add a bit more variety to my 2 hr/day commute.

So first of all, I found that About.com had an excellent article to help me get started with searching for useful books in this area. Of course, the audiobooks I can get for free are not going to be read by professional actors, and they won't include the latest novels, but still it'd be nice to catch up on the classics. =)

The first one I found useful was LibriVox. But I found myself quickly getting annoyed by the fact that I couldn't browse books by genre as I would in a book store. If I had a specific book in mind though, this would probably be a good resource to use.

So the second site I found was far more useful. BooksShouldBeFree.com lists a wide variety of books by genre, and even includes a small thumbnail of the novel picture to help you get an idea of what you're looking at. I was especially impressed by their variety in Adventures.

Oh, and just to close the post out, I got the idea to start looking at free audiobooks this morning when I noticed an advertisement for reading Witch & Wizard for free on their site. (Of course they're comparing it to Harry Potter, but you never know -- it might be decent!)

I believe this piece was written for him to play. I think I'm more fascinated by the precision with which he plays and the emotion he puts into his songs. Not to mention the fact that you don't expect a guy like that to sit down and do classical music. He dresses like a rocker, and is probably the only guy in that room not wearing a suit. ;-)

So damn glad its Friday. This week seemed really long, even though I had to take a day off from being sickly. I think as it gets closer to the holidays, everyone things of an awesome website they'd like to have created and finds the time to request it. Unfortunately most of those requests come to me. Not that I mind too much creating forms, but I'm sorry, I can't build them in two hours so you can have it by the end of the day. That's just too much to ask, I'm sorry...

Especially on a Friday, sheesh...

And for a *holiday* party too. *sigh* My week's been packed and the mere three days I work next week are turning out to be quite busy. I think this is also since my boss is going to be out next week and is trying to make sure all the projects are handled while he's gone. I understand that I'm one of the few that do decent web designs/form systems, but omg I'd like to enjoy the holidays too! =/

Okay, done with my rant, back to your regularly scheduled program.

BTW -- I saw this last night. The sun was just now touching the horizon and red beams of light were dancing across the field. How different this place was now.

Crane started taking longer strides as the hill grew steeper and he could see the peak of the old grey house peering at him through the tall grass. Every couple of years he found himself needing to come back here, to this long forgotten field and dilapidated house. Whenever he found himself questioning his memories and wondering if perhaps he had just imagined the entire ordeal, he returned. He finally crested the steep hill and stopped to take in the full sight of his childhood home. The shutters had long ago fallen off and the trees had started claiming the foundation for their own, but the place had always been in desperate need of repair. It was only a matter of time before the place collapsed completely, and Crane always had a nagging fear that one day it would be merely a fading memory.

He dropped his backpack onto the ground, the same one he’d carried during his college years, and walked up the front stairs. He cleared away the spider webs around the handle and pushed open the creaking door, he half expected to see her standing there, scarf wrapped around her gray head and that perpetual scowl set upon her lips. But when the door opened, the place was empty save for a few crows that flew out of a giant hole in the roof.

He let out the air that he’d held and smiled a bit to himself. Same old house, same old crows. That much was good to see. Ironically enough, the crows loved this place more than she did. The floor was spattered with a fresh coat of bird droppings and the stairway was missing a large chunk in the middle, creating a five-foot gap that would have to be jumped to go upstairs. Pity. He’d been looking forward to going through her things again. He looked around for a few minutes more before picking up his backpack again and heading down to the Aviary. He always saved the hardest part for last.

It took a good bit of strength for him to pull open the heavy iron door. Inside it was empty save for the final rays of sunlight pouring in from above and the creak of the door echoing off the walls, but Crane knew better than to be deceived. They were watching him, waiting for him to make his move. Taking a deep breath he stepped inside, only to be blinded by the black crows that filled the room. Crane found himself instinctively shielding his eyes and backing out as quickly as possible. He fell back against the door, feeling it close under his weight as he slid to the ground, shaking. Those birds never forgot him.
Well, it seems to be the thing to do, so I'm adding my Christmas ideas. ^_^

Needed Things
A mixer, you know for mixing all of those batters and cookie mixes that I like to make? It'd be nice to have an electric gizmo that would make my arm less tired.

A vacuum cleaner. We're very much in need of this at the house lately. And lugging mom's poor device between houses hasn't been a very effective solution.

Games
Tekken 6 for PS3: I've been eying this game since I heard about it a few months back. I hate not having a screwdriver small enough for my laptop.
OK so yami_no_cosmos was talking about Tekken 6 on her LJ yesterday, and then mentioned Dragon Age. So I went on a bit of a hunt on more info on games I'm looking forward to.

Tekken 6, well, I've already kind of looked up that information. I know it's going to be awesome. That's why I went ahead and asked for it for Christmas. ^_^ But these other items, they either aren't close enough to even think about buying them, or I'm still uncertain about them.

GW2: So I've always been a huge fan of GW. Was in the Beta, and have purchased every expansion pack and beaten each of them. I have more lvl20 characters than I can recall and most of them are decked out with 10k or 15k armor. (Some have several sets... , Sirius =P See pics of him I posted back here.) So I'm really excited about playing GW2. Not only am I curious about how the characters' items and titles get migrated, I'm also curious about all the new gameplay.

Just take a gander at the reviews for it here and here. Here are just a few of the awesome changes they'll be making:

PVP RTS -- Reports are mixed here about how RTS the gameplay really will be. Though I admit I'm excited about this part. I was never too crazy about the PVP in regular GW and so never really got into it. Having a RTS game similar to Fat Princess or Battle for Middle Earth would be freaking awesome.

Underwater Exploration -- This sounds totally awesome. I'm kind of hoping that you start out not having this ability and having to earn it through other quests or something. That way you have to revisit all your old locations and then start examining the bodies of water more closely. xD Just cause it'd feel like you earned the ability and you'd view bodies of water in the game differently after you get it.

More map surprises -- I know whenever I came across some buried treasure on a map, that I was happy. Look, free gold! I love the exploration aspect of GW and typically would start a new area by exploring on my own and not look at the maps on the GW wikis until I really needed them. (Example: Zomg, how did I get in the middle of all these difficult monsters that want to eat me?) I love the idea of them throwing in more surprises like that. It makes exploring more worthwhile. xD

Guns, or more specifically, muskets -- I always love the idea of a gunslinger in these games. After experiencing the awesome gameplay of a gunslinger in Champions, I only hope they have a good amount of fluid motion in GW2 like that. Though since it is a musket, they might make them slower. And I'm thinking that probably dwarves will be the ones using them, which gives me a good reason to make a Dwarf. Typically I'd probably plan on staying away from them and making all Sylvari, Norn, Human, and Charr. xD Damn there's gonna be a lot of cool options in this game...

Dragon Age: Origins: This one I'm not too sure about. The storyline looks interesting, and the Tolkien & Legolas fan in me loves the idea of elves being outcasts of society at the beginning. I'm also impressed given that these guys are the same creators of Balder's Gate. (It's about time they made a PS3 RPG game =P). The demons arising from the depths of the earth, and the entire world having to unite to fight them reminds me an awful lot like GW: EotN, but still that's a pretty basic idea for any fantasy game/storyline.

Check out the review on this game. It seems like it would be a fun game, even if a little disappointing in the end. Much like the Balder's Gate game -- it was *fun*, and you'd want to finish it, but I certainly wouldn't rank it as one of the best games I've ever played. Depending on how folks like yami_no_cosmos and other reviews say about it, I might give it a chance. Having a playable demo though would also help my decision though. Maybe I should keep an eye out for it on the PSN soon. Probably will end up asking for it for Christmas in the end though. ^_^

Have I mentioned that before? I'm a sucker for rings, necklaces, earrings, etc. I've kind of gotten over my impulse-buying-jewelry kick that I had in Junior High (thank goodness). But every once in a while I get the temptation to start it up again...

I got an email this morning from Pyramid Collection and was instantly drawn to the jewelry lol. Ever since mistress_kabuki and I went to Salem, MA a few years ago, we've gotten magazines and emails from these folks. Not that I'm complaining, their stuff is just beautiful (if down right expensive...)

So I put together a collage of some beautiful jewelry that I found on their site. Unfortunately the smallest size on their rings is size 6, and my fingers are typically size 4-5. So, that's a bummer. But really, this stuff is way too expensive to purchase, but simply beautiful to look at though. :) Hence the sharing.

From left->right, top->bottom:
1. Baltic Green Amber Ring: Delicate yet ornate. Beautiful shade of green mixed with silver band. Very elvish/natural/woodsy appearance which I love.
2. Green Amber Ring: Deep jade color with the flecks of peridot mingled in randomly make this ring fascinating to look at. I like the look of the gem being almost to big for the ring, yet with the tiny attached silver band at the back.
3. Keep Me Safe Amulet Necklace: Intricate. And the differing colors of seafoam green and blue with the black and silver is just beautiful. Colorful but with a unique quality of texture.
4. Green Turquoise, Peridot, Tiger Eye Leather Cuff: This is probably my favorite of the bunch. The tiger eye in the center accents the leather cuff, which is very organic and earthy. The turquoise and peridot form together to make a beautiful flower on top of everything. Just a lovely piece that looks casual enough for daily use but pretty enough to dress up anything.
5. Poe's "Raven" Necklace: Honestly, is there anyone that doesn't like Poe's work? This raven necklace is so interesting that I had to stare at it a bit to understand how it worked. Not one of my favorites, but definitely pretty and elegant. Would help turn a little black dress into a gothic fashion statement.
6. Elephant and Amber Necklace: I admit, the elephant kind of looks silly looking sprawled out on a giant amber rock, but the color of the amber is just beautiful against the silver. Not one of my top picks, but pretty nonetheless.

So evidently our old Geocities bit the big one today, cause all of my graphics on my LJ profile disappeared. =/ To be honest, it wasn't worth the time to try to salvage the information off of it, and I just couldn't find the time to do it. Getting everything off of that site, one file at a time, would have taken *days if not weeks* to complete. So, no more site.

Kind of sad about it, but it's been out of sight/out of mind for so long that it didn't really reflect my interests anymore. Maybe its best that it was put down by a company instead of by my hand. =)

On another note, as I was going through trying to load up my LJ images again, I found a cool link to some Photoshop brushes that were used on thefulcrum in this design.

http://designfruit.com/jasongaylor/blog/

See those drooping flowers on the right? Yup, that's where they're from. If I was into design as much as I'd sometimes like to be, I'd probably go in and pick up a few. But I'm mostly involved in functional design of websites at the moment instead of artistic designs. A lot of times I know how these designers do stuff, but I just don't have the talent to do it myself. Makes me want to go borrow mistress_kabuki's pen tablet and try out drawing again.

As it gets closer to Winter, I’m wanting to get more close-toed shoes. Ever since I discovered them and tried their products out, I fell in love with Sketchers shoes. They’re durable, not nearly as pricy as some of the others I’ve seen, and COMFY. So, I try to always buy from them now.

I have 2 regular shoes and 1 knee-high pair of boots. However the brown regular shoes could really use some shining up, and they tend to leak in the winter time. =( So, I’ve been looking at some boot options, and another pair of black slip-ons for work.

I’m looking in black in both styles. The Fraps look really interesting, and the Below Zero and Crank look just comfy. The Quota looks awesome though too. Argh so many choices! xP

The Hobbie work shoes would make for easy slip-ons and easy to work in. The Compulsions may just be overkill though since my black regular shoes look a lot like this one, and are in much better shape than my brown pair. ;-) Ultimately I’m going to get 1-2 pair. But which ones? That’s a more difficult decision. :-P

As October 22nd draws closer, I realized that I probably needed to brush up on the procedure required to upgrade a Windows XP machine to Windows 7, since I'll be doing it to at least three different machines I think. ;-)

See the general overview video here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dd671583.aspx

Now the three-pack Windows 7 Upgrade package that is going to be available on October 22nd is going to have three licenses available for upgrading three machines to Windows 7.

I also found this helpful step-by-step tutorial.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-xp-to-windows-7

So this year I'm determined to finalize my Scarecrow costume before the big Halloween event. Whatever that event may be. =P I found my jute that I purchased a while back while unpacking a few weeks ago, and that only made me more determined. I've been keeping my eyes open for linen stores nearby (Cloth World locations are pretty much gone, and no place seems to sell plain old cloth anymore including Walmart...) and I finally found a spot!

Country Cloth & Hobby Shop

I'm planning on heading over there maybe Friday or Saturday to see what I can find in the way of linen. I also found some ideas on what to do about his fear toxin. See this? It's used for air brush painting essentially. That hose is a good 6' long, which should easily be able to get stored under the outer jacket of the suit. I figure I can keep it in my left pocket, maybe purchase some cheap-ass black jacket and punch a hold in the interior pocket. Then string the cable across my chest and down my right sleeve. Strap it to my arm with a tie string and some tape, and be able to control it from the left hand.

The catcher here is that I don't know if I'm able to control it with my other hand. There's a remote nozzel that comes with it where you put in your paint and spray it onto the surface. I figured I could make this a green food coloring/water mixture if I have to use it. Though the spray aircan should be scary enough for most folks I think.

DickBlick also has a series of airbrush utensils. Hmm, definitely pondering some options here. mistress_kabuki, I know you've had more art experience than I do, any ideas on if this is feasible?

EDIT: I also found Testors Pain Sprayer on DickBlick's site. Looks like it might be exactly what I need, just taking off the bottle of course. Can in the left pocket, and strap the cord on the palm of my right hand. That way I can hit it with my thumb.... hmmm.....

So I was browsing games on Amazon, and came across PS3's Heavy Rain. It's made by the same folks who made Indigo Prophecy. Never got to watch mistress_kabuki finish it, but this looks pretty damn awesome.

A Tech Demo. I haven't watched this with the audio yet since I'm at work, but simply based on the video, it looks pretty. According to Wikipedia:
<quote>
"The virtual actor in the demo is based on French American actress Aurélie Bancilhon. The prototype used not only her likeness, but also her motion captured performance.
...
From a technological standpoint, notable features of The Casting include full body and facial motion capture, real-time tears and wrinkles on the face, advanced skin shaders, and some advanced rendering features, such as depth of field, spherical harmonics, auto exposure and high dynamic range rendering. The technology enables animations of pupil dilation, tongue, eyes, fingers, and dynamic hair with physics. The game engine also supports real-time post-processing, with which E3 attendees could interact at the event. Hair physics is achieved by the use of PhysX by nVidia. Facial motion capture was recorded using Vicon MX40 cameras and system, and was enhanced with a muscle system."
</quote>
The graphics gal in me squeed.

<lj-embed id="20" />

Shows actual plot/gameplay.
<lj-embed id="21" />

You have four characters that are playable, probably each with their own thread in the story that you can figure out as you play. The bits of what I assume to be evidence lying about reminds me a lot of Arkham Asylum, of which I highly approve.

Comes out early 2010. I'll definitely be on the lookout.

So I just got an email from AreaNet about doing a survey for them. Apparently if I'm selected to do a follow-up interview (over the phone? over IM?) I might get a free copy of the GW2 artwork book. xD

Didn't take long, mostly about what communities I use, and what features of my favorite MMO I like/use the most. You know I was thinking GUILDWARS the whole time. :] They were asking about social networking stuff like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter... I was a little annoyed that they didn't mention anything about LJ though. I mean, most of my friends on here are diehard GW fans and are always posting up pics and outfit awesomeness. I made sure I mentioned it in the comments. ;-)

Anybody else hear about this? Damn now I'm wondering when GW2 might be coming out. Despite his tendency for extensive role play (oddly common among Gotham City's criminals), its unclear to me why Dr. Crane was ever considered insane. In our long discussions, I've been impressed with his genius for psychology and biochemistry, and I fully believe that if presented with a stock of his fear-inducing gas, he would feel no compulsion to use it. He seems to have entirely turned away from his former life of crime as the Scarecrow.

Additional Notes:
He's valiantly battled a history of anxiety disorder, due to a difficult childhood and adulthood traumas, through an intense study of psychology and the causes of fear.

I've come to believe that the accusations that he experimented on human subjects are wildly exaggerated

-------

Other notes on the two pages Crane's on:
- GENIUS at chemistry
- Would he have something to contribute to [ scratched out ] research?
- Arkham Care: Even the most diseased mind can be cured
Patient Info:
Alias: The Scarecrow
Height: 6 ft
Weight: 150 lbs
Hair Color: brown
Eyes: blue

Btw laughing my ass of at "extensive role play". <lj:music>"Somebody's Watching Me", Rockwell</lj:music>

Ok, I had this forwarded to me - and I have no idea where it came from. But as I read it, I was LMAO, srsly...

BUT I don't agree with all of it, and it's bound to insult some folks, but enjoy it anyway. You know you need a good laugh.

1. More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think
about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own
story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize
you're wrong.

3. I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to
have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks
when they've invented the lighter?

4. Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're
going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be
going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction
from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch
or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that
no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching
directions on the sidewalk.

5. That's enough, Nickelback.

6. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was
younger.

7. The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This
recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be
ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.

8. Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't
work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix
the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to
fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just
figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

9. There is a great need for sarcasm font.

10. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and
suddenly realize I had no idea what the f&*% was going on when I first saw
it.

11. I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually
becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90
minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the
right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a
millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really,
really gets it.

12. The other night I hit a new low at an open bar. I had already hopped on
highway blackout when, inevitably I had to find a bathroom. Eventually I
decided it was probably on the other side of the bar so I tried to walk
over there, but ran into a guy coming the other way. We played that, Both
go left, Both go right game to no avail, so I finally put out my hand to
guide myself past and that's is when I realized, yup, that's a mirror I
just tried to walk through. And the guy on the other side is me. Even cats
can re cognize their own image.

13. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

14. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than
take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

15. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your
computer history if you die.

16. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to
finish a text.

17. A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the
spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.

18. Was learning cursive really necessary?

19. Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to
say".

20. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and
hunger.

21. Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron
test is absolutely petrifying.

22. My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads.
Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired
about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us." Classy,
bro.

23. Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I
hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

24. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and
smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

25. I love the sense of camaraderie when a n entire line of cars teams up
to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

26. Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in'
examples, I will undoubtedly draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot.
Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an attorney and said "Yes
that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies"

27. What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each
other?

28. While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and
instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.

29. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I
know how to get out of my neighborhood.

30. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the
person died.

31. I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the
shower first and THEN turn on the water.

32. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty,
and you can wear them forever.

33. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

34. Bad decisions make good stories

35. Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their
profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the
Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!

36. Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every
year?

37. If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would
probably just be completely invisible.

38. Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go
around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly
nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a
problem....

39. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work
when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything
productive for the rest of the day.

40. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want
to have to restart my collection.

41. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are
going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

42. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if
I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did
not make any changes to.

43. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.

44. I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching
TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if
I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren't watching this. It's only
a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still
be friends after this?'

45. While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China
and USA . No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that
when Chinese athletes don't win, they are executed.

46. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?
Drat!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to
voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run
away?

47. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing
anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

48. When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she
hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some= light internet
stalking.

49. I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then
I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

50. Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed
for pedophiles...

51. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but
no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

52. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not
know what time it is.

53. It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

54. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to
answer when they call.

55. I think that if, years down the road when I'm trying to have a kid, I
find out that I'm sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the
fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.

56. Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to
with it.

57. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys
in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but
I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet
away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

58. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would
happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

59. It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the
link takes me to a video instead of text.

60. I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they
drive behind obeys the speed limit.

61. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

62. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or
Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

63. The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw
they had included four sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone
at the restaurant packed my order, took a second to think about it, and
then estimate d that there must be at least four people
eating to require such a large amount of food. Too bad I was eating by
myself. There's nothing like being made to feel like a fat bastard before
dinner.
